ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

The United Youth Voices Through Advocacy is a youth led organization that has the motive of becoming the youth voice and the young change makers’ organization and has the aim of limiting number of young drug abusers and unemployed youth in the communities by giving them a purpose and the organization’s vision with them.

The mission of this organization is to gather a group of young ambitious people from different communities and turn them into young change makers, future leaders by aligning ourselves with the Global Sustainable Development Goals

TARGET AREAS

Human Rights Education

We want to educate communities about the importance of human rights because it helps them to:

Feel the importance of human rights
Internalize human rights values and integrate them into the way they live
Develop a sense of responsibility for respecting and defending human rights
Empower themselves, through learned skills, to take appropriate action
Foster the attitudes and behaviours needed to uphold human rights for all members of society

Child Abuse and Gender Based Violence

We are focusing on how we can change the culture, environment, and communities so that abuse and neglect of children is less likely to happen.
We aim to serve the best interest of children.
We want to end Gender based Violence in the commmunities through advocacy.

Education Matters

We want to helps to create a sense of community identity and shared purpose.
We want to builds the skills and knowledge needed for people to work together to address common problems.
We want to expands the traditional roles of public schools by creating relationships between home, school, and community.
We want to brings people together and enables them to be self-dependent.
We want to helps break down barriers and create an understanding among different cultures, races, religions, etc.

Health and Climate Promotion

We want to rise awareness on climate risk to health through advocacy campaign.
We want to increase individual and community health, which reduces health disparities

Child and Youth Rights

We want to creates a more responsible society.
We want to raises awareness about what’s best for young people.
We want to helps young people find the information they need to make better decisions.
We want to promotes and defends another person’s rights, needs and interests.
We want to helps children who are at risk of harm, aren’t having their needs met, or are being denied rights.

Promoting Peace Through Educational Intervention In Communities

We want to promote development of conflict – sensitive education policies and plans.

Ending Child Marriages

We want to reduce the number of pregnancies during adolescence, which can be dangerous for both the mother and child.
We want to improve access to family planning and maternal health services for married girls.
We want to reduce violence and exploitation of girls.
We want to improve access to education for girls.
We want to reduce population growth, which can lead to higher standards of living and lower poverty.

Girls and Young Women Rights

We educate grils and young women about the importance of their rights because it helps them to:

Feel the importance of their rights.

Develop a sense of responsibility for respecting and defending their rights.
Empower themselves, through learned skills, to take appropriate action.

Youth Development and Youth empowerment

We want to gives young people the courage to believe in themselves, not to be swayed by the opinions from others and to go for their dreams.
We want to empower youth to have access to resources, skills, opportunities, critical awareness and tools they need for positive impact and to maximize their potential.
We want them to built a foundation of self empowerment to rely on in times of struggles or when they are feeling lost and need to recalibrate.

Sexual Reproduction Health Rights

We want to prevent unintended pregnancies.
We want to improve maternal health.
We want to prevent and treat STIs including HIV/AIDS
We want to improve nutrition and survival rates for women and their children.
We want to allow people to have a satisfying and safe sex life.
